Here are some very creative business cards with transparent or semi-transparent design and style. Much of these business cards are made in plastic, plexiglass, perspex, or other transparent or semi-transparent materials. Unlike the most common materials used in printing business cards like cardboard, linen paper, and other traditional way, this kind of style or motif is a unique and uncommon way of creating and printing business cards.
These would have pros and cons when compared to the more standard and more popular way of making business cards. Since a more durable or more flexible materials like plastic or even glass are being used, these business cards would have the durability and resistance to liquids, crumpling and other deformations. However one obvious disadvantage of these types of business cards are its printing process and the printing cost. Printing the texts may require much better ink or in most cases, the texts are engraved in the card which may even require laser engraving to the card material. This means the cost for printing such business cards would be quite a difficult and costly task. With these disadvantages have been looked into, designers and print art directors can still have a go with this unique technique in making business cards and will definitely get the benefits of using such materials that the more common paper and cards used can’t provide.
