Star Wars is probably the most popular and most successful science fiction stories of all time. Began as an epic space opera film series created by George Lucas back in 1977, Star Wars had been adapted to countless media merchandise, series, animations, video games, comics and novels and has spawned countless fan products from characters to Star Wars vehicle and space ship models and collectibles. There is probably no futuristic fantasy or science fiction enthusiast or even video gamers who doesn’t know about the Star Wars universe and the great impact it made to popular culture and gaming today.
Followed by two more films from the first episode and another trilogy as a prequel for the first trilogy after sixteen years, the Star Wars pop culture phenomenon was reignited and many more media merchandise and entertainment have appeared especially in the gaming industry which expanded the Star Wars universe and told more stories of the Jedis and Siths. In the Star Wars universe, it tells the stories of the endless battles between the good and the dark side of the force. The light or the good side of the Force is the foundation of the Jedi knights in which they uphold peace, justice and equality throughout the universe. On the other hand, the Sith Lords are aligned to the dark and evil side of the Force and tries to control the universe and rule it for themselves. Both factions uses the very popular Lightsaber as their main weapon.
Some of these popular Jedi knights in the main theatrical series or in video games are Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn among others. Characters like Anakin Skywalker or more popularly known as Darth Vader, Darth Sidious, Darth Maul, Darth Tyranus are aligned to the dark side and regarded as Sith Lords.
