40+ Awesome Street Fighter Artworks
We commemorate the first release date of one of the best-selling and all-time favorite arcade fighting video game of Street Fighter. First released on August 30, 1987, Street Fighter is still one of the most popular multi-platform martial arts fighting video game today.
Designed by Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto and published by Capcom, Street Fighter made its first debut in the arcades in 1987. Because of its success and became a best-seller, the game qualified to the list of best-selling video game franchises and since then the game was ported to different kinds of video game consoles and was later released worldwide. The popularity of Street fighter gave birth to other related media in animation, manga, comics, card games, animated film and even hollywood movie adaptations. These anime and movie adaptations tell the stories of the playing characters of the game. Some spin-offs were also published. The video game Street Fighter EX spin-off became popular as well. The latest release of the video game is Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition and was released just this month.
