40+ Cool Mecha Artworks And Concepts
Called Mecha by the Japanese, these sci-fi and futuristic vehicles or combat machines are usually the concept and subject of many video games, sci-fi or fantasy movies, animations and mangas.
These large piloted vehicles often appear with the shape and movement of humans or animals. They can be depicted as machines of various functions like transportation, repair and maintenance bots or most often as a weapon for war. Though they ofter appear in humanoid form, they can also be illustrated as tanks, aircrafts, other mechanical form or even do transformations to these various types. Though Mecha or Mechs have distinctions between robots like size and having a cockpit for piloting, some mecha concepts show specifications of no cockpit or unmanned machines.
Some sci-fi stories and anime even depicts mechs to have organic material similar to cyborgs and having consciousness or self-awareness of their own like humans do.
