A Collection of Replacement App Icons

A Collection of Replacement App Icons

If you’re anything like me, you’ll change your working environment fairly often. From the set up of my desk and the artwork on my walls to the wallpaper that I have set for my computer – I find that change helps to get the creative juices flowing.

Something that most people don’t change, however, are the app icons that appear in the dock. These are often seen hundreds of times a day – every single time the menu is brought up – which means those icons can quickly become stale. Other times, the app icon itself might not be as good as some other alternatives, or it may just be not quite to your taste. As luck would have it, many other designers feel the same way and often create replacement icons in a range of different styles. I always find it disappointing when there’s an app that needs to be in my dock, but that has an icons that doesn’t quite fit (I’m looking at you, Photoshop) – but now it’s easy to change that to something more suitable with these replacements. I hope you find this collection of app icons useful, but if you know of any others, I’d love to hear about them in the comments.
