Inspiring Anime And Manga Artworks By Clamp

We bring inspiration to aspiring mangakas and anime artists and we present one of the most successful group of manga artists today who call themselves Clamp – who brought many interesting manga and anime to otakus and avid anime fans worldwide.

Clamp is an all-female group of four talented Japanese mangakas or manga artists who made some of the most popular and successful mangas, light novels and one-shots which are read by millions of people worldwide. Current members are Satsuki Igarashi, Nanase Ohkawa, Tsubaki Nekoi, Mokona. Their manga studio was founded on 1987 and are still very active up to this day. They also received a number of awards and recognitions like awards from Shogakukan Manga Award, Seiun Award and many others. Because of their talent, unique themes, beautiful art, and interesting plots in their works, many of their serialized mangas are adapted into anime versions – some of these successful anime series and original video animations are: xxxHolic, Chobits, Angelic Layer, Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Magic Knight Rayearth and many others.

They also had collaborations with many anime productions companies or groups and other book or magazine publications as well as other manga and novel artists. Some famous anime collaborations are the anime series Blood-C, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Sweet Valerian and may others. Most notable and unique on their and illustrations are their stylized and sometimes elaborate drawings of their characters. Though most of their drawing abilities are self-taught, they create appealing character designs which are loved and brings inspiration to many. Most of their works have characters with a very detailed and stylized hair, eyes and human figures, and fashionable clothing.
