Jimi Hendrix Paintings And Artworks
Today is the birth of one of the legendary icons of Rock ‘n Roll and considered to be the greatest guitarist in musical history.
James Marshall “Jimi” Hendrix, born on November 27, 1942, is one of the most idolized and influential singer-songwriter of his era and still today one of the few musical icons who gave a great cultural impact around the world. Jimi Hendrix is famous for his songs like Purple Haze, The Star-Spangled Banner, Machine Gun, Little Wing, Voodoo Child (Slight Return), All Along the Watchtower, Stone Free, and many others. He also received numerous awards and recognitions during his lifetime and posthumous awards – Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, number 3 in 100 Greatest Arists of Rock N’ Roll next only to the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, ranked number 3 on 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock behind Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.
Jimi Hendrix is also one of the most entertaining guitarists of all time not only of his blues rock guitar prowess and unique style of shredding but also his ability to convey to the crowd the feeling of the blues or his passion in playing the guitar. With this, Jimi Hendrix is one of the few performers who sings and plays the guitar with his heart and soul. As a left-handed, Jimi plays the guitar in an upside down or left-hand fashion. He is also noted of his acrobatic stage moves like playing the guitar with his teeth and behind his back, performing occasionally the “Duck Walk” move of the famous Chuck Berry, and other famous stage moves at that time.
As a tribute to Jimi Hendrix and his contribution to rock ‘n roll music and because of the inspiration he had given to countless musicians and fans, here are some cool paintings and portraits of Jimi Hendrix.
