Photography Asia will be a source of inspiration to photographers and hobbyists out there and it will be focusing on the beauty of Asia. Different countries and specific locations will be featured. Today we will be featuring one of the greatest man-made structure ever made not only in Asia but to all the world – The Great Wall of China. Began building in ancient China after the unification of the warring provinces and the establishment of the Qin Dynasty, The Great Wall of China was then enhanced and rebuilt to what is now the greatest series of fotification running from east to west through entire northern China. One notable builder was the first emperor of the Qin dynasty Qin Shi Huang who undertook the gigantic project to build the first walls of the Great wall. Since then it has been rebuilt many times and maintained especially during the Ming dynasty where Mongol threat from the north is rising. During this time they extensively incorporated bricks and stones to make the walls stronger. It has been concluded that the walls measure 8,851.8 km (5,500.3 mi).
