Elves (or elf for singular) have always been the subject or take part in important characters and roles in countless science fiction fantasy stories, artworks and other digital media. Elves and other elven characters can be seen in many books, novels, video games, movies, animations, concept artworks and a lot more.
In many mythologies and folklore mostly in European and Scandinavian legends, elves are thought to have magical powers and depicted as a race of gods or demigods with divine powers and can either be portrayed as mankind’s ally or foe. In modern fantasy stories and depictions, elven characteristics can be distincted from other creatures and beings like fairies, dwarves or humans.
Elven physical characteristics are very much the same with that of humans. Though they are usually portrayed to have long and pointy ears, fair-skinned and with long golden or black hair. They usually display divine or unique magical powers compared to human mages or sorcerers. In many cases, they are depicted to be very skilled with the use of a bow. In many stories and video games, they can also be characterized by dark elves, light elves, half elves and many others.
