Back in the early 1990s – the earliest days of the internet – few people could have imagined the impact this new global network would have on our lives.
During the ensuing quarter-century, we’ve seen pretty much every area of our lives influenced in some way by the web. Of course, a lot has changed in that time – old obstacles have been removed, new opportunities have arisen, and design trends have changed. A lot!
A new infographic put together by the team at AmeriCommerce looks to document the dominant trends in web design during that period. It charts the evolution and continued innovation of the web, from the early days of text-only websites displayed in 16 colours, through to today’s beautiful, responsive design trends.
